Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Spark Social Labs, a registered assumed name of Spark Investments LLC ("Spark Social Labs," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects the information you provide through sparksociallabs.com and in the course of working with us.
Information we collect
When you request a strategy call through our website form, we collect:
- Your name, business name, and email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- What you need help with and anything else you write in the message field, such as your website or social media handles
- A record that you ticked the consent box, and when
If you become a client, we may also collect and handle:
- Brand assets you share with us, such as logos, photos, videos, and brand guidelines
- Editor-level access to the social media accounts you ask us to manage (you remain the owner of those accounts at all times)
- Performance and analytics data from those platforms, used to plan content and prepare your monthly reports
- Billing information needed to invoice you. Card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored on our systems.
Automatically: when you load a page, our hosting provider records standard server log information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is how any web server delivers a page and guards against abuse.
This website sets no cookies. We run no analytics, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no session recording and no fingerprinting, and we embed no third-party content. Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third party, so simply reading this site sends nothing about you to any outside company beyond the hosting request above. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule your strategy call
- To contact you by email or phone about your inquiry and our services
- To deliver the services you hire us for, including planning, creating, publishing, and reporting on social media content
- To invoice you and keep required business records
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services
How your information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed to do so:
- Form processing: website form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms.
- Hosting: this website is hosted by Netlify.
- Social media platforms: when we manage your accounts, the content we publish and the actions we take are subject to the privacy policies of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and any other platform involved.
- Payments: invoices and payments are handled by our payment provider under their own privacy policy.
- AI tools: we use AI software to help research, draft and edit content and to analyze performance data. We share only what the work requires with these tools, and nothing they produce is published without human review and your approval.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Spark Social Labs, our clients, or others.
Text messages
We do not run an automated text-message marketing program and we do not buy phone numbers. Giving us a phone number on our form is optional. If you provide one and tick the consent box, you are agreeing that we may call or text you about that enquiry and about your account if you become a client. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and consent is not a condition of buying anything from us.
You can stop at any time by replying STOP to a text, saying so on a call, or emailing us. We honour opt-outs promptly and keep a record only so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
Data retention
Enquiries that do not become clients are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation you restart, then deleted. Client information is kept for the duration of our engagement and for as long as accounting and tax rules require afterwards, which is generally seven years for financial records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, except where we are legally required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@sparksociallabs.com.
- You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will honor valid requests in accordance with applicable law.
We do not sell or share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in United States state privacy laws. We have never done so and have no plans to. We also do not use your information to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not give it to anyone who would.
Your rights under state privacy laws
Depending on where you live, state law may give you the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to know how it has been disclosed, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Residents of states including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana have rights along these lines, and the list of states grows over time.
You do not need to live in one of those states to ask. We will honour any reasonable request from anyone. Email hello@sparksociallabs.com with what you want and we will respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, which normally means replying from the email address we already hold. If we decline a request we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to that response.
Because we hold very little information and run no tracking, most requests are simple for us to fulfil.
Visitors outside the United States
Our services are offered to businesses in the United States and our systems are located there. If you contact us from another country, the information you send will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your own country. Please do not send us personal information if you are not comfortable with that.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including limiting account access to what is needed for the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version, and continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
